Dr. Usman Chohan is the lead singer, guitarist, and creative director of Urdudaan, a fusion music project that reinterprets classical Urdu poetry through contemporary genres like metal, synthwave, punk, and boombap. Featuring poets such as Daagh Dehlvi and Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Urdudaan blends old and new, east and west, making modern music a vessel for timeless poetry. Designed as a multisensory experience, it combines powerful rhythms, expressive visuals, and a conceptual "full-course meal." Dr. Usman leads the vocals and instrumentals, with guest production from MRKLE, crafting a groundbreaking fusion of tradition and modernity.

Dr. Usman Chohan on Sitar includes a list of eastern instrumental fusion experiments with sitar and contemporary synthesized and live instruments. The recordings were conducted over several years in Islamabad and uploaded as a collection. The recordings strive for emotional resonance and the evocation of certain moods, with experimentation between the level of the sitar's presence with respect to other lead instruments as well as ambient sonorous elements.
